The Calendar Plan of the Project In 2005
- A long-term land lease agreement signed with Ārija Lipke.
- Association “Memorial of Žanis Lipke” founded. The founders are ex-Prime Minister and entrepreneur Māris Gailis, the President of the International Film Forum “Arsenāls” Augusts Sukuts and Žanis Lipke’s daughter-in-law Ārija Lipke.
- Expeditions and research trips carried out to museums of the Holocaust and Judaism in Europe – Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
- Research on the personality of Žanis Lipke effected, documents collected, conception of the museum – finalized (author – Viktors Jansons).
- The design proposal of the “Memorial of Žanis Lipke” in Ķīpsala, Mazā Balasta street 8 elaborated (architect – Zaiga Gaile).
- The Construction Board of the Riga City Council has issued the architectural planning task.
